Azores 5 islands tour

Day 1

Arrival to Ponta Delgada

Arrival. Transfer and accommodation in the hotel. Visit to Ponta Delgada, today's the most developed city in Azores, famous for the magnificent monuments and exquisite restaurants. Visit S.José, Praça Gonçalo Velho, Matriz and Campo S.Francisco churches.

Day 2

Fogo and Sete Cidades lagoons

Breakfast.
Around 9 am, visit to the volcanic mountains and lakes of S.Miguel. Our first stop will be a pottery factory. Then, the northern coast and Lagoas and drive to Caldeira Velha to take a bath in a thermal water pool. Visit the town of Ribeira Grande and the liquor factory Mulher de Capote. After lunch we visit the pineapple greenhouses and stop at Miradouro Pico do Carvão. We will visit Sete Cidades and Miradouro da Vista do Rei,
Return to Ponta Delgada.

Day 3

Furnas

After breakfast we will vist the Furnas valley and its exotic hot springs. First stop in Santa Iria de Mirador, visit the family tea factory that has keep the traditional production methods. Then you'll see the cooking process of the famous cozido, a traditional dish cooked in the ground for about 5h. Lunch at a local restaurant to eat 'cozido. Visit Vila Franca do Campo and admire the huge waterfall Ribeira dos Caldeirões. Return to Ponta Delgada.

Day 4

Terceira Island

Breakfast buffet at the hotel. After breakfast, ferry to the island of Terceira. Check in at the hotel, free time.

Day 5

Whales and Dolphins watching in Terceira Island

Breakfast at the hotel, a trip to observe whales and dolphins.
Back to the hotel and free time.

Day 6

Angra - S. Sebastião - Praia de Vitória - Biscoitos

The breakfast at the hotel. Explore the island of Terceira. We will stop at the view point Pico das Cruzinhas, then continue to explore the east coast of the island. Later we will visit S. Sebastião, the oldest parish on the island. Lunch. Visit the city of Praia de Vitória, later Serra do Cume, Biscoitos, known for the wild bulls who live there. We will taste wine in the local vineyard. Back to the hotel.

Day 7

Terceira Island

Breakfast at the hotel, free time or optional excursions.

Day 8

Faial Island

Breakfast at the hotel, free time before departure, or in case of extension of the tour, ferry to the island of Faial.
Check In, accommodation and free time.

Day 9

Faial Island

Breakfast. Full day trip to the volcanic island of Faial: trip to Volcano dos Capelinhos, to see the center of the volcanic 'caldeira'. Later we will stop in two viewpoints: Ribeira das Cabras and Nossa Sra. da Conceição. Then, visit to the Marina, considered the most colorful of the world. During the trip, lunch at local restaurant. Return to the hotel.

Day 10

Faial Island

Breakfast at the hotel, free time to rest or take part in excursions.

Day 11

Pico Island

Breakfast. Full day trip to Pico island: you'll see the museum of whales, landscapes of vineyards, which have been inscribed on the UNESCO list, the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus Milagroso, local crafts. Visit the town of Lajes do Pico, the lake Lagoa do Capitão, Vila de São Roque, Misterio das Bandeiras, Arcos do Cachorro, the town of Madalena.
During the tour lunch at a local restaurant. Ferry to the island of Faial.

Day 12

Faial Island

Breakfast at the hotel, free time to rest or take part in excursions.

Day 13

Sao Jorge Island

Breakfast at the hotel. After a full day trip to the island of Sao Jorge. Ferry ride to the island.
We will visit the northern coast, stop at Fajas do Ouvidor, Cubres Santo Cristo, Toledo, Santo António. Then park Florestal das Sete Fontes, Manadas, Miradouro das Velas, a cheese factory and local crafts. Lunch at a local restaurant. Ferry to the island of Faial.

Day 14

Free Time

Breakfast at the hotel, free time to rest or take part in excursions.

Day 15

Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time before departure.
